How to Finish the Interior of a Pole Building
Pole buildings, also known as pole barns, use treated poles for structural support. Unlike traditional framed buildings, two-by-six studs are fastened horizontally instead of vertically with 24-inch spacings between them. Most pole buildings have only a thin sheet metal exterior wall. Without proper insulation and finishing, pole buildings are cold in winter and hot in summer. They're relatively simple to finish to provide a controlled atmosphere that rivals any other building.
